Key features

Palm vein access

Use palm vein recognition as part of your everyday entry routine. During enrollment, hold your palm 4–12 in (10–30 cm) from the panel; 6–10 in (15–25 cm) works best.

3D face recognition

Choose face recognition for keyless entry. During enrollment, stand 12–47 in (30–120 cm) from the panel; about 20 in (50 cm) works best.

See and speak at your door

A 720p camera, two-way audio and video calling help you talk with visitors. The visitor hears you but doesn't see you.

Optional auto-relock

Have Venix relock the deadbolt 5–99 seconds after unlocking, or switch auto-relock off when you prefer.

Set up face and palm vein profiles for your household, use a permanent PIN for regular access, or create a temporary PIN for a visitor. Venix supports 50 biometric sets in total across face and palm vein, plus 50 passcodes shared between permanent and temporary PINs. PINs can be 6 to 10 digits long.

Manage access in the Tuya app, with support for up to 20 household member accounts. Remote unlocking and video calls need the lock set up on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and online.

A 720p video doorbell built into your lock

When a visitor presses the bell on Venix, you get a video call in the Tuya app. The built-in 1280 × 720 camera shows who is at the door, and two-way audio lets you speak with them. The viewing angle is 72.8° vertical by 45° horizontal.

The visitor hears you but doesn't see you. Venix has no screen.

Cloud recording isn't included. Check current US cloud storage options and any charges in the Tuya app.

Choose when your door relocks

Turn on auto-relock and Venix throws the deadbolt again 5–99 seconds after unlocking, using the delay you set. You can also switch it off when you prefer to lock up yourself.

Good to know: auto-relock runs on a timer and doesn't sense the door closing, so choose a delay that gives you time to close the door. Unlocking retracts the deadbolt; you open the door by hand with your separate handle.

Rechargeable battery with USB-C backup power

Venix runs on a rechargeable 7,800 mAh lithium battery pack, with an expected battery life of 5+ months per charge.*

If the battery runs flat, connect USB-C power to the port on the bottom edge of the outside panel, then unlock as usual. The mechanical key gives you another way in.

Check the fit before you order

Venix is a smart deadbolt for compatible doors 1.38–2.17 in (35–55 mm) thick, with a 2⅜ or 2¾ in (60 or 70 mm) backset. Check your existing door preparation, lock position and clearance before ordering.

A separate passage or latch handle is required and is not included. Fresh installs need drilling.

Send us photos of your current handle and door edge before ordering so we can help check suitability. Panel dimensions alone don't confirm that the lock will fit an existing bore or door preparation.

The outside panel has a manufacturer-stated IP65 rating, and the specified operating temperature is −4°F to 140°F (−20°C to 60°C).

Frequently asked questions

How many faces and palms can I add?

Venix stores 50 biometric sets in total. Face and palm vein enrollments share this capacity; it is not 50 of each.

Can I give visitors a code?

Yes. Create a temporary PIN for a visitor in the Tuya app. Permanent and temporary PINs share 50 codes in total, and each PIN is 6–10 digits long.

Does Venix lock automatically?

Yes, if you turn on auto-relock. Venix then relocks the deadbolt 5–99 seconds after unlocking, using the delay you set. It runs on a timer and doesn't sense the door closing. You can switch auto-relock off whenever you like.

Which app does Venix use?

Venix uses the Tuya app, not the Blusafe app. Remote unlocking and video calls need the lock set up on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and online.

Does Venix support fingerprint, RFID or NFC?

No. Venix has no fingerprint, RFID or NFC unlocking. Its six ways in are palm vein, 3D face recognition, permanent PIN, temporary PIN, the Tuya app and a mechanical key.

Does it work with Apple HomeKit or Matter?

No. Venix doesn't support Apple HomeKit or Matter.

Does it work with Alexa or Google Assistant?

Alexa and Google Assistant support is reported by the manufacturer but not yet verified for US use. Contact us before ordering if voice control is essential.

Is cloud recording included?

Cloud recording isn't included. Check current US cloud storage options and any charges in the Tuya app.

What happens if the battery runs out?

Connect USB-C power to the emergency port on the bottom edge of the outside panel, then unlock as usual. Emergency power doesn't unlock the door by itself. You can also use the mechanical key.

Can the visitor see me on a video call?

No. The visitor hears you but doesn't see you, because Venix has no screen.

Are the US specifications different?

No. The manufacturer has confirmed that the US version has the same product specifications as the versions sold in other regions.

Will it fit my door?

Does the visitor see me?

No. Your visitor hears you through Venix; Venix has no screen. You see them on a live 720p video call in the Tuya Smart app.

How many face and palm profiles can I add?

Venix stores 50 biometric profiles in total, shared between face and palm vein.

Can I give visitors a temporary code?

Yes. Permanent and temporary PINs share a total capacity of 50 passcodes. PINs can be 6–10 digits long.

Which app does Venix use?

Venix uses Tuya Smart. App remote unlocking and connected video functions require the device to be set up and online on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

Does Venix lock automatically?

You can enable or disable automatic relocking and set a delay of 5–99 seconds after unlocking. Venix retracts the deadbolt when you authenticate; you operate the separate handle to open the door.

What happens if the battery runs out?

The USB-C port at the bottom supplies emergency power. Use a supported unlocking method after connecting power, or use the mechanical key. Emergency power is not an unlocking method by itself.

Is cloud recording included?

Cloud video storage is supported through Tuya. Availability, retention and any charges depend on the current service in your region. Check the app for current US options.

Does it work with HomeKit, Matter, fingerprint or NFC?

Venix does not support Apple HomeKit, Matter, fingerprint, RFID or NFC unlocking. Alexa and Google Assistant operation in the US has not been verified; contact us if voice control is essential.

Will it fit my door?

Check door thickness, backset, existing preparation and panel clearance before ordering. A separate passage or latch handle is required and is not included. Existing compatible preparation may be reused; fresh installations require drilling.
